Johanna Hunsperger Of Grayling Wins $9,150 Prize In Lottery's Change Play Game!

LANSING, October 25, 2002 – Johanna Hunsperger of Grayling could not believe her eyes upon seeing that the 75-cent Change Play ticket she purchased brought her a $9,150 prize in the Michigan Lottery’s Change Play game.

She purchased the winning ticket at Grayling E-Z Mart, 2411 S. I-75 Business Loop, in Grayling. Hunsperger learned she had a winning ticket after looking at a winning number report.

"During my lunch, I drove home and grabbed the Change Play ticket off the table to check the numbers," said the 40-year-old winner. "I could not believe I had won! I was so excited that I called everyone I know!"

According to Hunsperger, she kept the winning ticket with her at all times to ensure its safety prior to turning it at a Lottery bank claim center in northern Michigan. She told Lottery officials that she used her winnings to pay bills and to take a trip to Missouri.

The lucky lady offered the following words of advice to other Lottery hopefuls: "Keep playing and you will win one day too! Just keep the faith and try a new game occasionally!"

The first Change Play drawing took place on Monday, October 14, 2002 and drawings are held every night just after 9:00 p.m. Change Play allows players to use loose change from any purchase to buy a chance to win thousands of dollars with six guaranteed winners each day.
