Maureen Morand of Bay City Wins $175,000 Michigan Lottery Mega Millions Prize!

LANSING, September 17, 2002 – Maureen Morand of Bay City is a little wealthier today after winning a top prize in the Lottery’s Mega Millions game. Morand matched the first five numbers in the September 10 Mega Millions drawing to win a $175,000 prize. That day’s winning numbers were: 4, 6, 10, 21, 25 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 21.

"I discovered that I had won after seeing the winning numbers in the Bay City Times," Morand said. "I then double-checked the winning numbers on the Michigan Lottery’s Web site (www.michigan.gov/lottery). I was in total shock and couldn’t wait to share the news with my boyfriend, Ron!"

The winner purchased the winning Mega Millions "easy pick" ticket at Kroger # 635, 2910 Center Ave., in Essexville. Morand, who enjoys watching NASCAR races in her free time, said she plans to use part of her winnings to pay bills and will save the rest for the future.
