LANSING, June 12, 2002 – Anne Kummer of Jackson recently experienced a bit of Lottery luck upon scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Livin’ Lucky" instant ticket to reveal a $300,000 top prize!
"I stopped at the store after visiting the tanning salon and
decided to pick up a couple of instant tickets," Kummer said.
"When I got back into my van I set the tickets on the seat and
by the time I got home I had forgotten about them. Later in the
day I remembered they were in the van. I got them out of the van right away and decided to scratch them off while sitting in the backyard enjoying the nice weather. I couldn’t believe my eyes
when I scratched off the winning ticket and it said $300,000!
It still seems like a dream!"
The 52-year-old winner, who said she enjoys working on needlepoint projects in her free time, purchased the winning "Livin’ Lucky" instant ticket at Ice House Party Store, 3318 Francis St.,
in Jackson.
Kummer, who works as a baker at Sam’s Club, said she plans to use part of her winnings to buy a new vehicle, but has not yet decided what she will do with the rest of the money.
Prior to turning the winning ticket in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing, the winner said she kept it with her at all times to ensure its safety.
"Livin’ Lucky" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
