LANSING, June 4, 2002 – Edward Clinton of Belmont may not be a mom, but he is definitely lucky! Upon recently scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Lucky Mom" instant ticket he revealed a $15,000 top prize.
The winning ticket was purchased at Ten Mile Amoco, 2770 10 Mile Road, in Rockford.
"I scratched the ticket off in my vehicle," Clinton said. "I was very excited to win such a large prize!"
Clinton, a 19-year-old gas station attendant, said he kept the winning ticket hidden in a box in his bedroom before turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Wyoming. The winner, who enjoys playing basketball and golf in his free time, said he plans to use his winnings to pay bills and take a vacation.
"Lucky Mom" is just one of many instant games available at more than 9,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
