Galati purchased the winning "easy pick" Michigan Rolldown ticket at Independent Dairy Mart, 126 N. Telegraph Road, in Monroe.

"I saw the Michigan Rolldown drawing on television," Galati said. "When I realized I had a winning ticket, I became so excited I started screaming for joy!"

The lucky 61-year-old, who enjoys playing Michigan Lottery games and babysitting in her free time, said she plans to use her winnings to pay bills. She added that she kept the winning ticket hidden in a dresser drawer in her home before turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Dearborn Heights.

One half of the April 22 jackpot remains unclaimed. The second jackpot-winning ticket was purchased on April 22 at Farmers Gas & Oil #15, 244 S. Steele St., in Ionia.

Michigan Rolldown’s first drawing was held on February 28, 2000. Drawings are held six days a week—Monday through Saturday—at 7:28 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are available at more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
