Wayne Boyer of West Bloomfield Wins $17,433 Michigan Rolldown Jackpot iin April 15 Drawing!

LANSING, May 14, 2002 – Michigan Rolldown players just keep on winning big! In the April 15 Rolldown drawing, Wayne Boyer of West Bloomfield matched all five numbers to win a $17,433 jackpot, before taxes! The winning numbers for that day’s drawing were: 2, 8, 9, 13 and 30.

In total for the April 15 drawing, 18,600 winners shared $59,621 in prizes. In addition to the sole jackpot winner, 63 winners matched four numbers to win a $113 prize; 1,837 winners matched three numbers to win a $10 prize; and 16,699 winners matched two numbers to win the $1 prize.

The winning ticket was purchased at Fisher Building Valet Shop, 3011 W. Grand Blvd. C-10, in Detroit.

The lucky 56-year-old, who is a self-employed accountant, said he hid the ticket in his office to ensure its safety before turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights. He added that though he has no special plans for his winnings at this time, there is no doubt he and his wife, Mary, will enjoy them!

Michigan Rolldown’s first drawing was held on February 28, 2000. Drawings are held six days a week—Monday through Saturday—at 7:28 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are available at more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
