In total for the April 9 drawing, 18,476 winners shared $63,535 in prizes. In addition to the sole jackpot winner, 71 winners matched four numbers to win a $109 prize; 1,850 winners matched three numbers to win an $11 prize; and 16,554 winners matched two numbers to win the $1 prize.

The winning ticket was purchased at Handy Mart Party Shop, 7121 Merriman Road, in Garden City.

"I saw the winning numbers drawn on television," the winner said. "I was surprised to see I had won the jackpot!"

The lucky 70-year-old winner, who requested anonymity, is a retired Bi-County Hospital employee. She said that she kept the winning ticket hidden in her purse to ensure its safety before turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Dearborn Heights. She added that she plans to use her winnings to pay bills.

Michigan Rolldown’s first drawing was held on February 28, 2000. Drawings are held six days a week—Monday through Saturday—at 7:28 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are available at more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
