LANSING, September 12, 2001 — The Michigan Lottery has completed the final “Bonus Drawing” for it’s Harley-Davidson® instant game, and is proud to announce that Amy Hillsburg of Muskegon is the grand-prize winner of a Harley-Davidson® Sportster® 1200 Custom motorcycle!
Lottery officials were able to speak to Hillsburg after the drawing.
“I am so excited!” Hillsburg said. “I love motorcycles and am thrilled to have won a Harley in this drawing. I started jumping up and down as soon as I learned I had won and then I began to cry tears of joy! Thank you so much for the opportunity to win such a great prize.”
The 30-year-old winner, who works for Muskegon County Community Mental Health and enjoys roller-skating and watching her children play soccer and baseball in her free, said she can’t wait to tell her neighbor that she won a Harley-Davidson® bike.
“My neighbor has been saving up to buy a Harley motorcycle for a long time,” Hillsburg said. “He finally bought one a couple of weeks ago, so I can’t wait to tell him that I won a Harley!”
Hillsburg’s winning entry included non-winning Harley-Davidson® instant tickets purchased at Lemmen Oil Company #198, 4185 Grand Haven Road, in Muskegon and Wesco #49, 1675 E. Apple Ave., in Muskegon.
Hillsburg offered the following words of advice to other Lottery hopefuls: “Just keep playing because you never know when you are going to win!”
In addition to the grand-prize motorcycle winner mentioned above, the Lottery gave away Harley-Davidson® brand merchandise prize packs, each consisting of a telephone, blanket, T-shirt and a set of playing cards to 500 lucky winners. A complete list of winners is available on the Lottery’s Web site at http://www.state.mi.us/milottery.
To enter the Harley-Davidson® bonus drawings, players were mailed in two non-winning Michigan Lottery Harley-Davidson® $3 instant game tickets along with legible name, address and daytime telephone number on a separate sheet of paper.
