LANSING, June 6, 2000 — Michael Fleury of St. Clair Shores could hardly contain his excitement when he discovered he was holding a winning $150,000 Big Game ticket! He matched the first five numbers in the May 23 Big Game drawing to win the $150,000 prize. That day’s winning numbers were: 9, 34, 42, 46, 50 and the Big Money Ball number was 35.
“I had a few Lottery tickets that I hadn’t yet checked, so I decided to check the Lottery’s Web site (www.state.mi.us/milottery) for the winning numbers,” Fleury said. “I was very excited when I realized I had a winning ticket! My wife and I were both stunned — she didn’t believe me at first.”
When not playing hockey, Fleury said he enjoys playing Michigan Lottery games. He added that he has been playing Lottery games for over 20 years and his favorite is, of course, The Big Game! He purchased the winning
Big Game “easy pick” ticket at St. Clair Beverage, 26529 Little Mack Ave., in St. Clair Shores.
The lucky man said he plans to use his winnings to start a college education fund for his child.
The Big Game is a multistate lottery game in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 6,400 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. The next Big Game drawing is tonight (Tuesday), June 6, with an expected jackpot of $38 million!
