Michael Bogdan of Fenton Wins Big With Lottery's Big Game!

LANSING, May 23, 2000 — Michael Bogdan of Fenton is celebrating in a big way after winning a top prize in the Michigan Lottery’s Big Game! He matched the first five numbers in the May 12 Big Game drawing to win the $150,000 prize. That day’s winning numbers were: 12, 27, 28, 40, 48 and the Big Money Ball number was 25.

"I was at home when I discovered I had won," Bogdan said. "I was so excited!  I showed my wife the ticket right away and then called some of my relatives to share the good news."

The 45-year-old winner, who works as a builder, said he enjoys playing Michigan Lottery games, and The Big Game is his favorite! Bogdan purchased the winning Big Game "easy pick" ticket at 1-Stop Food Store #4, 1491 N. Leroy Street, in Fenton.

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing, Bogdan said he kept it in a "safe place." The lucky man, who enjoys woodworking, listening to music and working with horses, said he plans to use his winnings to make investments.

The Big Game is a multistate lottery game in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets can be purchased at more than 6,400 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. The next Big Game drawing is tonight (Tuesday), May 23, with an estimated jackpot of $17 million.
