LANSING, April 14, 2000 — The Michigan Lottery has completed the second drawing in its current Daily 3 & 4 second-chance sweepstakes and there are dozens of excited winners! Top winners include:
Edward Kalkun of Garden City — $10,000
Brenda Collins of Detroit — $5,000
Elizabeth Moore of Detroit — $5,000
Throughout the Daily 3 & 4 "booKoo Cash" promotion, the Lottery will award each week for four weeks one grand prize of $10,000; two second prizes of $5,000; 25 third prizes of $1,500; and 100 fourth prizes of a Daily 3 & 4 baseball cap. Lottery officials were able to speak to one of the $5,000 second-prize winners.
"Wow!" screamed Detroit resident Brenda Collins, after she learned of her $5,000 win. "This is wonderful! I am so excited and surprised."
Collins, 52, has been a regular Michigan Lottery player for the past 27 years. She said she sent in approximately 10 entries for the "booKoo Cash" sweepstakes drawing.
The program specialist at Wayne State University said she doesn’t have any plans for her winnings at this time. She added that she hasn’t had time to think about it yet.
Collins’ winning entry included Daily 3 & 4 tickets purchased at Primo Petro Corporation, 8001 Wyoming St., in Detroit.
Edward Kalkun’s winning entry included Daily 3 & 4 tickets purchased at Garden City Party Store, 27627 Ford Road, in Garden City; Elizabeth Moore used tickets purchased at University Discount, 4851 Woodward Ave., in Detroit and Glass Bottle Shoppe, 9540 Greenfield Road, in Detroit.
In addition to the three cash prizes mentioned above, the Lottery gave away 25 $1,500 cash prizes to these "booKoo Cash" third-place winners:

To enter the Daily 3 & 4 "booKoo Cash" second-chance sweepstakes, players send in two non-winning Daily 3 or 4 mid-day tickets and two non-winning Daily 3 or 4 evening tickets (in any combination) for any drawing between March 27, 2000 and April 22, 2000, along with their name, address and daytime telephone number on a separate sheet of paper to:

Players may enter as many times as they like, but entries must be limited to one entry per envelope. Players may also drop off entries at any of the Lottery’s regional offices, or participating newspapers and radio stations.
The remaining "booKoo Cash" drawings will be held on April 19 and May 3. Grand- and second-prize winners will be announced during the broadcast of the Michigan Lottery’s "Road to Riches" weekly television game show.
