Earlier this month, on April 2, another Big Game $150,000 prize expired, and the Lottery is hoping to avoid a repeat performance with this lucky Big Game ticket! Lottery Commissioner Don Gilmer is encouraging Lottery players all across the state to take time out of their busy schedules this week to check their old Lottery tickets.

"I have seen $400,000 in Michigan Lottery prizes go unclaimed already this year, and I would hate to see yet another Lottery player miss out on such a great prize," Gilmer said. "As you prepare to tackle your spring cleaning projects, I urge you to take a minute and look through your old Lottery tickets. You may unknowingly be sitting on a mountain of cash!"

Michigan Lottery players have one year from the draw date to claim any on-line prize. Because the one-year anniversary of this Big Game ticket falls on a Sunday when Lottery offices are closed, that ticket-holder will have until the close of business, Monday, April 17, 1999 to claim his or her prize.

If Michigan Lottery prizes are not claimed within the one-year period, they revert to the state School Aid Fund. For more information about any unclaimed Michigan Lottery prize, players can call (517) 335-5640.
