LANSING, March 31, 2000 — Kenneth Solek of Detroit recently experienced a little Lottery luck upon scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Bingo Mania" ticket to learn he had won a $10,000 prize!
The 44-year-old winner purchased the lucky ticket at The Liquor Bottle, 5603 Elmer Street, in Detroit.
Prior to turning the winning ticket in at the Lottery’s regional office in Redford Township, Solek had a friend of his put it in a safe place for him.
Solek said he has been playing Lottery games for the past 15 years and his favorites are the instant games! The lucky man said he plans to use his winnings to go shopping.
