Michigan Lottery Introduces "booKoo Cash" Second-Chance Sweepstakes for Daily Game Players!

LANSING, March 22, 2000 — Many Michigan Lottery players will be rolling in dough this spring thanks to the Lottery’s newest second-chance offering — "booKoo Cash!"

The Lottery will give away 28 cash prizes (ranging from $1,500 to $10,000) each week for four weeks — a total of 512 prizes worth $230,000, including hundreds of Lottery wearables — in the new "booKoo Cash" second-chance sweepstakes.

"Michigan Lottery players love second-chance promotions," Michigan Lottery Commissioner Don Gilmer said. "Last spring the Lottery ran a similar second-chance cash prize promotion called ‘Livin’ Large,’ which was a huge hit with our Daily 3 and 4 game players. Ever since then, players have been asking for another cash-prize second-chance sweepstakes. The Lottery listened and is giving them what they want with ‘booKoo Cash!’"

To enter the "booKoo Cash" sweepstakes, players send in two non-winning mid-day wagers and two non-winning evening wagers for either Daily 3 or Daily 4 drawings conducted during the period of March 27 through April 22, 2000, along with their name, address and daytime telephone number on a separate sheet of paper to: booKoo Cash, P.O. Box 5000, Southfield, MI 48086.

The Lottery will give away $57,500 per week: one grand prize winner of $10,000; two second-prize winners of $5,000 and 25 third-prize winners of $1,500. In addition, 100 booKoo Cash baseball caps will be awarded each week during the promotion.

Players can enter as often as they like, but entries must be limited to one per envelope. Players can also drop off entries at any of the Lottery’s six regional offices, as well as participating radio stations and newspapers.

Drawings will be held April 5, April 12, April 19 and the final drawing on May 3, 2000. Grand-prize and second-prize winners will be announced the week following the drawing on the Lottery’s "Road to Riches" weekly television game show.
