Do You Have the Lucky Big Game Ticket? If So, Your Luck is About to Run Out!

LANSING, September 28, 1999 — The Michigan Lottery is making a final appeal to Lottery players throughout the state: check your tickets today!

In less than 48 hours, another $150,000 Big Game prize will go unclaimed unless the lucky Michigan Lottery player possessing a ticket purchased at Carters #09, 8135 Houghton Lake Drive, in Houghton Lake, for the September 29, 1998 Big Game drawing, steps forward — and quickly!

The winning numbers for the September 29, 1998 Big Game drawing were: 1, 8, 18, 27, 38 and the Big Money Ball number was 24. The $150,000 winning ticket matches the first five numbers.

Michigan Lottery on-line prizes are valid for a period of one year from the draw date. Therefore, the winner will have until the close of business, Wednesday, September 29, 1999 to claim his or her prize.

"If you have a stash of old Lottery tickets somewhere in your house, office or car, I urge you to dig them out today to see if any of them are from the September 29, 1998 drawing," said Michigan Lottery Commissioner Don Gilmer. "This prize money could be put to good use by one lucky individual during the upcoming holiday season — all that person has to do is turn his or her ticket in before 4:45 p.m. this Wednesday. It would be a shame to see this great prize go unclaimed!"

If Michigan Lottery prizes are not claimed within the one-year period, they revert to the state School Aid Fund. In the case of a Big Game prize, in which all Big Game states have contributed to funding the prize, Michigan’s allotted share of the prize money will be transferred to the School Aid Fund.
