Climb Continues: $748 Million Up for Grabs in Tonight’s Powerball Jackpot

Powerball logoThe Powerball jackpot is still climbing, giving players a shot at $748 million tonight! The cash option for the jackpot is $325.1 million.

If a player wins tonight’s jackpot, it would be the sixth time the jackpot has been won in 2026, and it would also mark the largest Powerball jackpot won in more than seven months. Tonight’s drawing will be the 40th drawing since the jackpot was last won May 2 when two tickets purchased in Florida and Texas split a $20 million jackpot.

Since the Powerball jackpot run began May 4, Michigan Lottery players have won more than $5.1 million in prizes, including two $1 million prizes. Those prizes were won:

  • July 20 – Kelly’s Fuel Mart Inc., located in Melvindale
  • July 25 – Basel Oil, located in Rogers City

The Powerball jackpot was last won in Michigan on Jan. 1, 2024, by a Mid-Michigan lottery club. The club won a $842.4 million Powerball jackpot with a ticket purchased in Grand Blanc. That jackpot is the largest Powerball prize ever won in Michigan.

Retailers throughout the state are selling Powerball tickets until 9:58 p.m. tonight. Tickets also may be purchased online at MichiganLottery.com.

Powerball plays may be purchased for $2 each at Lottery retailers across the state and online at MichiganLottery.com. A “Power Play” option that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times to a maximum of $2 million may be added to any Powerball play for only $1. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Powerball ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $10 million in the nightly Double Play drawing.

The Powerball drawing takes place at 10:59 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and may be watched live online at: http://www.powerball.com. Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington D.C., U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom.

Record Setting: Huron County Lottery Club Wins Largest Instant Game Prize in Michigan Lottery History

Winning TicketA Huron County lottery club will go down in history after winning $8 million playing the $8,000,000 Payout instant game which was purchased as a Father’s Day gift. The prize is the largest ever won on an instant game in Michigan.

“Our family often buys lottery tickets for holidays and special occasions, so my brother and I bought our dad a $8,000,000 Payout ticket for Father’s Day,” said a club member. “Our dad scratched the ticket and then handed it to us to check when he saw he’d won $8 million.

“We looked it over and then I scanned it to confirm what we were seeing. It was unbelievable when we found out it really was an $8 million winner! We talked it over and decided to split the prize equally among the three of us.”

The three-member Lucky Dogz lottery club bought their winning ticket at Caseville One Stop Shop, located at 7095 Port Austin Road in Caseville. They recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. They chose to receive the prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $5.5 million rather than annuity payments for the full amount. The club members plan to save their winnings.

Players have won more than $79 million playing $8,000,000 Payout, which launched in March. Each $50 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $50 up to $8 million. More than $234 million in prizes remain, including two $8 million top prizes, 63 $10,000 prizes, and 1,535 $1,000 prizes.

In 2025, Lottery players won more than $1.7 billion playing instant games.

Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $707 Million for Saturday’s Drawing

Two New Games Coming to Fast Cash Lineup This Weekend

The two new games scheduled to launch August 2 are:

  • Cosmic Cow – Each $5 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $5 up to $4,000 and 50 percent of the Fast Cash jackpot.
  • Lucky Lines – Each $10 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $10 up to $7,000 and 100 percent of the Fast Cash jackpot.

Cosmic Cow gives players 12 chances to win by matching any of the YOUR NUMBERS to the WINNING NUMBERS. If a player matches any of their YOUR NUMBERS to the MILK-Y WAY BONUS number, they win two times the corresponding prize shown.

Lucky Lines gives players 14 chances to win when all three numbers in a GAME add up to 7, 11 or 21. Each GAME is played separately.

Fast Cash games are a series of instant-win games that print from terminals at Lottery retailers. Fast Cash tickets range in price from $2 per play up to $30 per play.

$250,000 KENO! Ticket Expires; Prize Goes to State School Aid Fund

A $250,000 winning KENO! ticket expired today, and the prize went to the state School Aid Fund.

The ticket expired at 4:45 p.m. It was purchased at Willow Creek Market, located at 49230 Michigan Avenue in Belleville.

KENO! tickets are valid for one year from the drawing date.

The record for an unclaimed Lottery prize in Michigan was set in 1998 when a $34 million prize went unclaimed. The winning Michigan Lotto game ticket was purchased at the Meijer located at 1350 West Lake Lansing Road in East Lansing.
