Club gets "Fever"

LANSING, July 10, 2006 – A club from Niles won $300,000 when they scratched a winning Bingo Fever ticket.

The group members, who chose to remain anonymous, said they have no plans for the money yet.

Bingo Fever is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at more than 10,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.

Detroit man wins Mustang Money

LANSING, July 10, 2006 – Joseph Bates is a very lucky man.  He won $25,000 when he scratched a winning Mustang Money Instant ticket.

The lucky winner, who has been playing the Lottery for 20 years, said he was “very happy” with his win.

Bates plans to use the money to buy a car and do some home improvements.  In his spare time the lucky winner enjoys collecting Star Wars memorabilia. 

The lucky ticket was purchased at Haddad Express Market, 1503 Junction St., in Detroit.

Mustang Money, a $2 ticket, offers Michigan Lottery players over $4 million in cash.

Troy man wins big

LANSING, July 10, 2006 – John Hagar is a very lucky man!  He won $16,400 playing Club Keno with the Kicker option.

The lucky winner, who has been playing the Lottery for about four years, said he plans to use the prize money to buy more tickets.

The winning ticket was purchased at Bull Frog’s, 2225 Ortonville Rd., in Ortonville.

Immediately before each Club Keno drawing, a wheel spins on the Club Keno monitor selects a Kicker number of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10.  Players can select the Kicker box on their play slip and pay $1 for each dollar originally wagered.  Wins on regular Club Keno drawings will be multiplied by the Kicker number, allowing players the chance to win up to 10 times their original prize amount.

Kicker began on November 20, 2005 in all 2,000 locations selling Club Keno.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

Alpena couple claims jackpot

LANSING, July 10, 2006 – A very lucky couple is $203,967 richer after winning the Fantasy 5 jackpot on July 1.

They matched all five numbers on their own-pick ticket to win the prize.

The lucky winners, who chose to remain anonymous, said they plan to use the money to pay off their mortgage and credit cards.

The “nervous and excited” winners purchased the ticket at Kur Van’s North, 1141 US Highway 23 North, in Alpena.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Plymouth woman wins big

LANSING, July 10, 2006 – Carol Snider is a very lucky lady!  She matched four of the five white balls, plus the Mega ball in the June 16 Mega Millions drawing to win $10,000!

The player, who has been playing the Lottery for about one year, hid the ticket in a safe.

The winning ticket was purchased at Cracker Barrel, 30203 Southfield Rd., in Southfield.
