Less than 50,000 tickets remain!

LANSING, October 2, 2007 – This could be the last week to get your hands on a Super Raffle ticket from the Michigan Lottery!

As of Tuesday morning, less than 50,000 tickets were still available.  The game went on sale Monday, September 17 with 250,000 tickets up for grabs.

Super Raffle is packed with prizes, and includes the best odds ever of winning $2 million.  In addition to the two grand prizes of $2 million each, Super Raffle also has 25 prizes of $100,000 cash and 4,500 prizes of $500 each!  One in 55 tickets will win at least $500!  The Super Raffle drawing is scheduled for Oct. 22 or within 10 days of the tickets selling out.

Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at any Michigan Lottery retailer, including Club Keno locations.

Players should watch the Lottery’s Web site for an announcement of when tickets are sold out and on what date the drawing will be conducted.

The Super Raffle, which is the fifth Raffle game offered by the Michigan Lottery, offers odds of 1 in 125,000 of winning $2 million.  Overall odds of winning at least $500 in the Super Raffle are a mere one in 55.

Previous games in the Raffle series, which have included one Super Raffle and three Millionaire Raffles, have been very successful and the Lottery expects a similar response to this game.

Super Raffle tickets will be issued in numerical order, starting with 000001.  Sales will stop when ticket number 250000 has been sold.  Players cannot choose their own numbers and numbers must be in the exact order drawn to be winners.

Winning numbers will be available on the Lottery’s Web site on the afternoon of the drawing.  Players will also be able to check numbers at Lottery retailers or Lottery regional offices at that time, and the winning numbers for the $2 million prizes will be announced during the Lottery’s broadcast that evening at 7:29 p.m.

Winners of $2 million and $100,000 prizes will need to make an appointment with the Lottery’s Public Relations Division to claim their prize; $500 prizes can be claimed at any Michigan Lottery retailer.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
