Super Raffle tickets are gone!

LANSING, October 13, 2007 – The 250,000 Super Raffle tickets, which went on sale Monday, September 12, have sold out!

A drawing date will be determined on October 15.

Super Raffle gives players the best odds ever to win $2 million! Two prizes of $2 million, 25 prizes of $100,000, and 4,500 of $500 will be awarded.

Drawing information will be posted on the Lottery’s Web site once available.

All Super Raffle winners must present the original ticket in order to claim a prize.  Players who win prizes of $2 million or $100,000 must call the Lottery Public Relations office at 517-373-1237 to schedule an appointment.

The next raffle, a $20 Millionaire Raffle will go on sale November 19, just in time for the holiday gift-giving season.

All proceeds from the Super Raffle, as well as from all other Lottery games, are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.

$2 million finalists chosen

LANSING, October 12, 2007 – Preliminary finalists for the Michigan Lottery’s $20 Instant games $2 million grand prize drawing, scheduled for Sunday, October 21, have been selected.

The finalists are from the following cities:

  • Sterling
  • Pickford
  • Niles
  • Rockwood
  • Monroe

Finalists qualified for the drawing by claiming a $1,000 prize in one the following $20 Instant games: “Mega Bucks Jackpot”, “$2,000,000 Cash Winfall”, “Millionaire’s Club”, “$2,000,000 Explosion”, and “$35,000,000 Riches”.  The five lucky finalists were chosen from a pool of 793 entries.

The grand prize drawing will be conducted at Ford Field on Sunday, October 21, during the Detroit Lions vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers football game.

Get them before they’re gone!

LANSING, October 11, 2007 – The Super Raffle game is on the brink of a sell out!  As of Thursday afternoon, less than 10,000 tickets remain.

“With only 10,000 tickets left, the game could sell out over the weekend,” said Acting Lottery Commissioner Tom Weber.

The game went on sale Monday, September 17 with only 250,000 tickets up for grabs and the best odds ever to win $500!

Two top prizes of $2 million (annuitized); 25 prizes of $100,000; and 4,500 prizes of $500 each!  The Super Raffle drawing is scheduled for Oct. 22 or within 10 days of the tickets selling out.

Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at any Lottery retailer, including Club Keno locations.

Players should watch the Lottery’s Web site for an announcement of when tickets are sold out and on what date the drawing will be conducted.

The Super Raffle, which is the fifth Raffle game offered by the Lottery, offers odds of 1 in 125,000 of winning $2 million.  Overall odds of winning at least $500 in the Super Raffle are a mere one in 55.

Super Raffle tickets will be issued in numerical order, starting with 000001.  Sales will stop when ticket number 250000 has been sold.  Players cannot choose their own numbers and numbers must be in the exact order drawn to be winners.

Winning numbers will be available on the Lottery’s Web site on the afternoon of the drawing.  Players will also be able to check numbers at Lottery retailers or Lottery regional offices at that time, and the winning numbers for the $2 million prizes will be announced during the Lottery’s broadcast that evening at 7:29 p.m.

Winners of $2 million and $100,000 prizes will need to make an appointment with the Lottery’s Public Relations Division to claim their prize; $500 prizes can be claimed at any Michigan Lottery retailer.

Detroit man wins $10,000

LANSING, October 10, 2007 – Patrick Wearn scratched a lucky $10,000,000 Game Book instant ticket and revealed that it was a $10,000 winner!

The Detroit man didn’t believe that he won and had to have a second pair of eyes look at his ticket to make sure that he was right.  The lucky 27-year-old plans to catch up on bills and take a vacation with his prize money.  In his free time, he enjoys sports, motorcycles, Irish culture and traveling.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at McCarty Wine & Cheese, 4033 McCarty Rd., in Saginaw.

$10,000,000 Game Book is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

Club Keno ticket worth $10,010

LANSING, October 10, 2007 – Matthew Lewandowski of Clinton Twp. is a very lucky man!

He matched numbers on his Club Keno ticket two different times and won a $10,010 prize!  Lewandowski matched nine of 10 numbers and six of 10 numbers.

The lucky winner hid his easy pick ticket in his pocked before cashing it in at the Lottery’s Sterling Heights office.  He has no immediate plans for the prize money.

The 25-year-old bartender purchased the lucky winning ticket at Rosie O’Grady’s, 42012 Hayes Rd., in Clinton Twp.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
