Clinton County Woman Wins $150,000 Powerball Prize from the Michigan Lottery

Diana Gaudard, of DeWitt, matched four white balls and the Powerball – 17-18-30-50-68, PB: 24 – in the March 7 drawing to win a $50,000 prize. Thanks to the Power Play, the prize was multiplied to $150,000. She bought her winning ticket online at MichiganLottery.com.

“I have two special sets of numbers I play whenever I buy Powerball tickets, so I played those, plus I bought two easy pick tickets,” said Gaudard. “I logged into my Lottery account to do my daily Spin to Win which is when I saw $150,000 pending in my account.

“I told my husband that my Lottery account showed a big win, but not to get excited because it had to be some sort of hoax. I’m used to winning a few dollars here and there, so I didn’t think there was any way I’d actually won $150,000.

“Shortly after, I found out I’d won the prize on one of my easy pick tickets and it’s felt like I’m living in a dream ever since!”

Gaudard, 63, recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim her prize. With her winnings, she plans to pay off her car and then save the remainder.

Powerball plays may be purchased for $2 each at Lottery retailers across the state and online at MichiganLottery.com. A “Power Play” option that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times to a maximum of $2 million may be added to any Powerball play for only $1. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Powerball ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $10 million in the nightly Double Play drawing.

The Powerball drawing takes place at 10:59 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and may be watched live online at: http://www.powerball.com. Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington D.C., U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
