The Michigan Lottery is making it easier for winners of big prizes to claim their winnings with a new online appointment scheduling system.

“The new online appointment scheduling tool underscores the Lottery’s commitment to providing exceptional service to Michiganders,” said Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli. “This feature modernizes the Lottery’s appointment claims process and allows winners to select a time and place that is most convenient for them when claiming a big Lottery prize.”

To make an appointment to claim a prize of more than $600, players can now visit: www.michiganlottery.com/claims to select a time and office location that is convenient for them. Prizes of more than $600 can be claimed at any of the Lottery’s office locations in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Livonia, Saginaw, and Sterling Heights. Prizes of $100,000 or more, must be claimed at the Lottery’s Lansing location.

Previously, players had to call the Lottery’s toll-free appointment hotline to schedule a time to claim their prize. An appointment is required to claim all prizes of more than $600. Players claiming a prize of more than $600 must present a government issued photo ID and Social Security card. The name on the photo ID must match the name on the Social Security card.

In 2024, Lottery players in Michigan won $3 billion in prizes.
