A Calhoun County man feels like he’s living in a fantasy after winning a $280,073 Fantasy 5 jackpot!

The 56-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the Fantasy 5 numbers in the Oct. 21 drawing to win the big prize: 04-07-24-25-30. He bought his winning ticket online at MichiganLottery.com.

“I usually buy one draw game ticket a day whether it’s Fantasy 5, Powerball, Lotto 47, etc., and this specific day I decided to play Fantasy 5,” said the player. “I saw an email come through that night about claiming a prize, which I realized was different from the usual ‘your winnings have arrived’ emails. That’s when I logged into my account and saw I won big!

“Winning a Fantasy 5 jackpot has me feeling like I’m living in a fantasy!”

The lucky player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his jackpot. With his winnings, he plans to pay bills, help his kids, and then save the remainder.

Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $110,000 in the nightly Double Play drawing. Players may win prizes in the regular nightly drawing, the Double Play drawing, or both. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39.
