Genesee County Woman Wins $500,000 Playing the Michigan Lottery’s Triple Red 777s Instant Game

Winning TicketA Genesee County woman turned pocket change into a $500,000 payday playing the Michigan Lottery’s Triple Red 777s instant game!

“I found some extra money in my pocket, so I stopped at the store to buy a lottery ticket,” said the 38-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I usually only play the Cashword scratch off tickets, but the store was out of all their Cashword games and Triple Red 777s caught my eye.

“I didn’t think I won anything at first, but I looked the ticket over one more time to be sure. When I saw the $500,000 win, my chest tightened up and I started shaking. You never think it will be you who wins the big one, and I still can’t believe I won!”

The player bought her winning ticket at Miller Road Sunoco, located at 3265 Miller Road in Flint. She recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim her prize. With her winnings, she plans to buy a house and a new car.

Players have won more than $16 million playing the Triple Red 777s instant game, which launched in March. Each $5 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $5 up to $500,000. More than $14 million in prizes remain, including two $500,000 top prizes and 18 $2,500 prizes.
