Oakland County Man Wins $250,000 KENO! Prize from the Michigan Lottery

An Oakland County man was left speechless after seeing all 10 of his numbers selected in the Michigan Lottery’s KENO! game.

The lucky 71-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched 10 of the 22 numbers drawn Feb. 11 to win the game’s $250,000 top prize. His winning numbers were: 12-27-34-50-52-58-59-69-76-77. He bought his winning ticket at Oakland Liquor, located at 19606 West 10 Mile Road in Southfield.

“I always say: ‘You can’t win if you don’t play,’” said the winner. “I’ve been playing KENO! for years and buy one ticket each week with seven draws.

“When I checked the winning numbers on Feb. 11 and saw all of mine listed, I was speechless. I still am letting this big win sink in, it’s incredible.”

The player visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim his prize. With his winnings, he plans to pay bills and buy a new home.

KENO! tickets may be purchased for $1. Players select 10 numbers from one to 80 for a chance to win prizes ranging from a free instant ticket up to $250,000. Drawings for the game take place at 7:30 p.m. seven days a week.
