The Wait Continues: $842.4 Million Powerball Jackpot Unclaimed After Two Months

PowerballIt’s been two months since a lucky Michigan Lottery player won an $842.4 million Powerball jackpot, and the big winner has yet to claim the prize.

A single Michigan Lottery player matched the Powerball numbers drawn on Jan. 1 – 12-21-42-44-49 and the Powerball: 01 – to win the jackpot. The winning ticket was bought at the Food Castle of Grand Blanc, located at 3035 East Grand Blanc Road in Grand Blanc.

The $842.4 million jackpot is the fifth-largest Powerball jackpot ever won and the tenth-largest jackpot won in U.S. Lottery history.

The lucky winner of the jackpot should contact the Lottery’s Player Relations Division at 844-917-6325 to set up an appointment to claim their prize. Powerball tickets are valid for one year from the date of the drawing.

Powerball drawings take place at 10:59 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and may be watched live online at: http://www.powerball.com. A “Power Play” option that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times to a maximum of $2 million may be added to any Powerball play for only $1.
