A Saginaw County man had to look twice after seeing some familiar-looking Fantasy 5 numbers on TV.

“I was watching the nightly drawing and saw the Fantasy 5 numbers popup. I didn’t think much of it at first,” said the player, who chose to remain anonymous. “All of sudden, I thought: ‘Those look really familiar!’ so, I wrote them down as quick as I could. When I looked at my ticket and saw I’d matched all five and won $110,000, I couldn’t believe it!”

The lucky 63-year-old player matched the Fantasy 5 numbers drawn Thursday – 01-08-11-13-18 – to win the jackpot. He bought his winning ticket at the 7-Eleven, located at 2726 Weiss Street in Saginaw.

The player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. With his winnings, he plans to take a family vacation and then save the remainder.

Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39. Players who match all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn win a jackpot that starts at $100,000. Fantasy 5 drawings are held seven days a week at 7:29 p.m. Tonight’s Fantasy 5 jackpot is $250,000.
