Quitting time came early for a Macomb County man who won a $105,000 Fantasy 5 jackpot from the Michigan Lottery.

Danial Wuestewald, of Chesterfield, matched the Fantasy 5 numbers drawn Monday – 06-09-25-30-37 – to win the jackpot. He bought his winning ticket at the 7-Eleven, located at 18711 15 Mile Road in Clinton Township. Chesterfield is about 35 miles north of Detroit.

“I work nights, so my wife always calls me to give me the numbers,” said Wuestewald. “When she called last night, I had to double check that I’d matched them all then I started screaming!

“My co-workers congratulated me and then I went in to tell my boss. He was excited for me and told me to go home and celebrate.”

The 58-year-old Wuestewald visited Lottery headquarters Tuesday to claim his prize. With his winnings he plans to take his wife on a shopping spree and then save the remainder.

“It’s amazing and shocking to win this kind of money,” Wuestewald said.

Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39. Players who match all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn win a jackpot that starts at $100,000. Fantasy 5 drawings are held seven days a week at 7:29 p.m. Tonight’s Fantasy 5 jackpot is $100,000.
