Michigan Lottery officials said Thursday they have not yet confirmed a winning ticket from Friday’s Mega Millions drawing.

The winning ticket, which is worth $79 million, was sold at John’s Market, 75 E. Square Lake Rd., in Troy. The numbers were 2, 23, 41, 47, 54. The Mega Ball was 42. The winner has one year from the draw date to claim the prize.

The jackpot represents the fourth largest in Michigan, with previous winners including $208 million won by Ralph and Mary Stebbins of Port Huron on April 22, 2005; $141 million won by Steve Mays of Gladstone on October 29, 2010, and $136 million won by David Sneath of Livonia on April 1, 2008.

The winner will have the option of taking a one-time payout of an estimated $54 million or 26 annual payments totaling $79 million. Taxes are deducted in both instances. He or she should contact the Lottery’s Public Relations Division to make arrangements to claim the prize. The winner should also sign the ticket and put it in a safe place.
