Oakland County Woman Wins $300,000 Playing Michigan Lottery’s Fireball Bingo Instant Game

Winning TicketAn Oakland County woman fell to her knees when she found out she won $300,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s Fireball Bingo instant game!

“I love the Cashword and Bingo tickets and usually buy a few every week,” said the lucky 46-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I bought three Fireball Bingo tickets and scratched them off in my car.  I was about to leave the gas station, but something was telling me to go in and buy another one, so I did and scratched it in my car when I got home.

“When I finished scratching the ticket and saw I had a ‘blackout’ for a $300,000 win, I ran into the house and gave it to my mom to check. When she finished looking it over, she looked up at me and said: ‘Oh my gosh!’

“I scanned the ticket on the Michigan Lottery app to triple check it and fell to my knees when $300,000 came up on the screen. I haven’t been able to put into words what winning this prize means to me. All I can say is that it’s an unbelievable blessing!”

The player bought her winning ticket at the Speedway, located at 6980 Rochester Road in Rochester. She recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. With her winnings, she plans to buy a new car and then save the remainder.

Players have won more than $10 million playing Fireball Bingo, which launched in May. Each $5 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $5 up to $300,000. More than $12 million in prizes remain, including two $300,000 top prizes, five $10,000 prizes, and 42 $2,000 prizes.

In 2025, Lottery players won more than $1.7 billion playing instant games.

Lottery instant games may be purchased at retailers across the state.
