“I stopped at the service desk at Meijer and told the cashier to give me a $10 Fast Cash ticket, so she picked the Lucky 7s game,” said the lucky 78-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I took it over to the Lucky Spot scanner and scanned it, but it wasn’t telling me if I won or not, so I handed it back to the cashier and asked her to check it.
“She walked back to the counter with a big smile on her face and told me I’d won, so I was thinking maybe $100 or $200. When she told me the winning amount, my legs gave out! I still feel like I’m in a daze.”
The player bought her winning ticket at the Meijer store, located at 16300 Fort Street in Southgate. She recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. She plans to save her winnings.
Fast Cash games are a series of instant-win games that print from terminals at Lottery retailers. Fast Cash tickets range in price from $2 per play up to $30 per play.
Fast Cash games offer a progressive jackpot that can be won instantly. Every Fast Cash ticket gives players a chance to win all or part of the progressive jackpot.
All of the Fast Cash games feed into one jackpot, which grows with every ticket purchased. The current jackpot amount prints on each ticket, so players always know the amount of the jackpot up for grabs. The jackpot may be won at any time. As soon as the jackpot is won, a new one starts to grow.
