
- In FY25, Lottery contributed more than $1.16 billion to the School Aid Fund – marking the seventh consecutive year of billion-dollar contributions, a record for the Lottery.
- Michiganders won nearly $3 billion in prizes playing Lottery games in FY25. Since the Lottery began in 1972, players have collected more than $58 billion in prizes.
- Michigan Lottery retailers earned more than $330 million in commissions in FY25. Since FY19, when the Lottery’s streak of billion-dollar contributions to the School Aid Fund began, retailers have earned more than $2.3 billion in commissions.
- More than 700 retailers sold $1 million or more in Lottery games in FY25. Lottery products are sold at more than 10,000 locations across Michigan, including independently owned businesses and large retail chains.
- Lottery introduced an online appointment-scheduling system, making it easier than ever for winners of big prizes to claim their winnings.
- The Charitable Gaming Division processed more than 10,000 licensing applications and issued nearly 9,400 licenses, enabling Michigan-based nonprofit organizations to raise tens of millions of dollars in support of their causes.

- Lottery continued to lead the way in promoting responsible gaming in Michigan. Throughout the year, we highlighted the Lottery’s industry-leading responsible gaming tools and promoted awareness of the 1-800-GAMBLER helpline. The helpline is also available by texting 800GAM or via online chat at 1800gamblerchat.org. Contacts from Michigan are routed to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Trained contact center staff are available 24/7, 365 days a year to provide support, guidance, and information related to problem gambling.
