Hours Remain for a Chance at $740 Million Powerball Jackpot

Only hours remain for Michiganders to test their luck and take a chance to win the $740 million Powerball jackpot. The cash option for tonight’s jackpot is $346.1 million.

Retailers throughout the state are selling Powerball tickets until 9:58 p.m. tonight. Tickets also may be purchased online at MichiganLottery.com.

If a player wins the jackpot, it would be the second largest Powerball jackpot won this year. Tonight’s drawing will be the 37th drawing since the jackpot was last won on Sept. 6 when one ticket purchased in Missouri won the $1.78 billion jackpot.

Since the Powerball jackpot run began Sept. 8, Michigan Lottery players have won more than $3 million in prizes.

The Powerball jackpot was last won in Michigan on Jan. 1, 2024, by a Mid-Michigan lottery club. The club won a $842.4 million Powerball jackpot with a ticket purchased in Grand Blanc. That jackpot is the largest Powerball prize ever won in Michigan.

Powerball plays may be purchased for $2 each at Lottery retailers across the state and online at MichiganLottery.com. A “Power Play” option that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times to a maximum of $2 million may be added to any Powerball play for only $1. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Powerball ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $10 million in the nightly Double Play drawing.

The Powerball drawing takes place at 10:59 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and may be watched live online at: http://www.powerball.com. Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington D.C., U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
