Wayne County Man Wins $250,000 KENO! Prize from the Michigan Lottery

Winning TicketA Wayne County man said winning a $250,000 KENO! prize from the Michigan Lottery feels surreal!

The lucky 60-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched 10 of the 22 numbers drawn Oct. 10 to win the game’s $250,000 top prize. His winning numbers were: 01-08-11-15-16-22-45-47-66-74. He bought his winning ticket at Conant-Caniff Market, located at 11303 Conant Street in Hamtramck.

“My wife and I have been playing KENO! for quite a while and we always play the same set of numbers,’” said the winner. “I gave the ticket to my wife, and she checked it the next day by looking at the numbers on MichiganLottery.com. When she realized we had won $250,000 she checked the numbers three more times and then took the ticket to the store to scan it and make sure it was real. We are ecstatic! Winning a prize like this feels surreal.”

The player visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim his prize. With his winnings, he plans to buy a home and then save the remainder.

KENO! tickets may be purchased for $1. Players select 10 numbers from one to 80 for a chance to win prizes ranging from a free instant ticket up to $250,000. Drawings for the game take place at 7:30 p.m. seven days a week.
