The lucky player bought two Fantastic 5s tickets at the BP gas station, located at 25664 Gibraltar Road in Flat Rock. He gave one ticket to his mother, who won $20, and kept one for himself.
The player visited Lottery headquarters Wednesday to claim his prize. With his winnings, he plans to help some family members, take a vacation, and save the remainder.
Players have won more than $6.3 million playing Fantastic 5s, which debuted in June. Each $5 ticket gives players a chance to win prizes ranging from $5 up to $500,000. More than $27.7 million in prizes remain, including: two $500,000 top prizes, and six $1,000 prizes.
Lottery instant games may be purchased at 11,000 retailers across the state.
In 2015, Lottery players won more than $722.1 million playing instant games.
