Big Game Jackpot Swells To $200 Million For Friday, April 12 Drawing!

LANSING, April 10, 2002 – Lottery officials announced that no winning ticket correctly matched all six winning numbers – 1, 15, 17, 21, 41 and the Big Money Ball number, 4 – in the April 9, 2002 Big Game drawing, pushing the jackpot for April 12 to an estimated $200 million!

Five lucky Michigan Lottery players did correctly match the first five numbers in that drawing to each win a $150,000 prize, however. Those winning tickets were sold at the following locations:

The winners of these prizes have not yet come forward to claim their winnings.

If one winning ticket matches all six numbers in Friday night’s drawing and the player has selected annuity payments over 26 years, the $200 million jackpot would amount to pre-tax payments of roughly:

For those who prefer to take their cash winnings up-front, it’s a pretty nice payday as well. If one lucky cash-option player matches all six winning numbers, he or she will take home a check for approximately $106.5 million (before taxes), the estimated present cash value of Friday’s jackpot!

Big Game tickets are available in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia. Friday’s drawing will be conducted at 11 p.m. and broadcast on cable superstation WGN out of Chicago as well as a network of Michigan stations (check local listings).
