The five members of a Cheboygan County Lottery club are planning on taking a hot air balloon ride after winning a $378,804 Fantasy 5 jackpot from the Michigan Lottery.

The lottery club members, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the Fantasy 5 numbers in the Feb. 22 drawing to win the big prize: 14-20-30-35-36. They bought their winning ticket at the Family Fare store, located at 992 South Main Street in Cheboygan.

“We play the Fantasy 5 together every week,” said a club member. “One of the club members took the ticket to the store to check it a few days after the drawing. When we got the news that we had won the jackpot, we couldn’t believe it!”

The club members visited Lottery headquarters to claim their prize. With their winnings they plan to take a hot air balloon ride and pay bills.

“We are very excited about winning this prize. We have always said if we win, we would go on a hot air balloon ride, so that will be the first thing we do with our winnings,” the club members said.

Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $110,000 in the nightly Double Play drawing. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39. Players who match all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn win a jackpot that starts at $100,000. Fantasy 5 drawings are held seven days a week at 7:29 p.m.
