A Mecosta County woman nearly peed her pants after winning a $262,477 progressive jackpot playing the Michigan Lottery’s 20X The Cash Fast Cash game.
The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought her winning ticket at Wee Bee’s Party Store, located at 139 South Cass Street in Morley. Morley is about 40 miles north of Grand Rapids.
“I was in Wee Bee’s and won $5 on a 20X The Cash Fast Cash ticket,” said the 68-year-old player. “I used that $5 to buy another ticket and won $10. Then I bought two more tickets and hit the jackpot!
“I scanned the winning ticket and it kept saying I needed to see the retailer. I looked at it a little closer and when I saw I had matched the number 26 to win the jackpot I almost peed my pants!”
The lucky player visited Lottery headquarters Tuesday to claim the big prize. With her winnings she plans to take a trip to Hawaii, share with some family members, and then invest the remainder.
“Winning is a good feeling, but it’s also nerve-wracking. I’ve never had to figure out what to do with my money because I’ve never had this much. It’s a great problem to have,” the player said.
Fast Cash games are a series of instant-win games that print from terminals at Lottery retailers. Fast Cash tickets range in price from $1 per play up to $10 per play, and feature popular game themes, including Cashword and Wild Time.
