The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought his winning ticket at the Rogers City E-Z Mart, located at 101 South Bradley Highway in Rogers City.
“I wish I had won this when I was 20 years younger,” said the player, who is in his eighties. “Better late than never!”
The player visited Lottery headquarters Monday to claim his prize. He plans to save his windfall for a rainy day.
Players have won more than $39 million playing 50X The Cash, which debuted in January 2015. Each $10 ticket gives players a chance to win prizes ranging from $10 up to $1 million. More than $27 million in prizes remain, including: one $1 million top prize, four $250,000 prizes, 141 $10,000 prizes, and 1,370 $1,000 prizes.
Lottery instant games may be purchased at 11,000 retailers across the state.
In 2015, Lottery players won more than $722.1 million playing instant games.
