New homes, new cars, luxury vacations, and financial security top the wish lists of Michigan Lottery. In 2015, the Lottery helped make those dreams come true for countless players who collected a record of nearly $1.7 billion in prizes.
The top 10 prizes for 2015 accounted for $359.4 million in winnings for players.
All told, the Lottery made 34 players millionaires in 2015. With a $310.5 million Powerball jackpot topping the list of big winners, the top 10 prizes Michigan Lottery won in 2015 (through Dec. 29) were:
- $310.5 million Powerball jackpot won by Julie Leech, of Three Rivers, on Sept. 30
- $13 million Lotto 47 jackpot, won by an Otsego County man, on July 22
- $5 million Mega Millions prize won by David Kalanik, of Oakland County, on April 3
- $4.6 million Lotto 47 jackpot, won by a Macomb County woman, on Oct. 14
- $4 million Word Class Millions top prize, won by a Lincoln Park man, on Aug. 8
- $4 million $100,000,000 Diamonds top prize, won by a Detroit man, on Sept. 16
- $4 million World Class Millions top prize, won by a Lansing man, on Dec. 7
- $3.5 million Lotto 47 jackpot, won by a Cheboygan County man, on Jan. 17
- $2.8 million $2,500 A Week for Life top prize, won by an Iosco County man, on July 6
- $2 million $2,000,000 CA$H top prize, won by an Ingham County man, on Feb. 10
- $2 million Mega Money Multiplier top prize, won by an Ogemaw County man, on May 13
- $2 million Mega Money Multiplier top prize, won by a Monroe County woman, on Sept. 11
- $2 million 100X The Cash top prize, won by a Macomb County woman, on Dec. 29
