A visit to northern Michigan led to a $500,000 Michigan Lottery prize for a Colorado man, who won playing the 20X The Cash instant game.
The player, who chose to remain anonymous, and his wife were visiting their summer home in northern Michigan when they bought the big winner. They bought the winning ticket at the Boyne City Marathon, located at 201 South Lake Street in Boyne City.
The man scratched off the ticket once the Colorado Springs couple returned home, revealing a $500,000 winner.
The player couldn’t believe he had won $500,000 and showed his the wife the ticket to confirm the good news. To be sure they had a big winner, the pair returned to the retailer to scan the ticket and the good news was confirmed.
With his winnings, the player plans to purchase a fishing boat and newer car.
For just $5, each 20X The Cash instant game ticket gives players a chance to win prizes ranging from $5 up to $500,000. The 20X The Cash game debuted on Jan. 6 and nearly $29 million ins prizes remain for the game. The remaining prizes include two $500,000 prizes, 69 $10,000 prizes, 129 $2,000 prizes, and 907 $1,000.
