The 43-year-old winner, who chose to remain anonymous, is a regular Michigan Lottery player and previously had won smaller prizes, but said winning a Poker Lotto top prize was an entirely different experience.

“I didn’t believe that I actually won until I was making an appointment to claim the prize,” the winner said. “I just kept telling myself: ‘This isn’t real. This isn’t real.’” She was sure there had been a mistake when the store clerk told her she had won the jackpot.

The lucky winner plans to use a portion of her big prize to enhance her family’s carefree lifestyle, starting with building a pole barn to store the family camper.
