$218,304 Fantasy 5 Ticket Expires; Prize Goes to State School Aid Fund

Students in SchoolA winning Fantasy 5 ticket expired today and the $218,304 prize went to the School Aid Fund.

The ticket, which expired at 4:45 p.m., was sold in Garden City at the Garden City Fuel Stop Co., 32889 West Warren Road. The winner matched all five numbers – 10-17-20-31-35 – in the Aug. 16, 2013 drawing.

Fantasy 5 tickets are valid for one year from the drawing date. Because the one-year date fell on a weekend, the ticket holder had until 4:45 p.m. on Monday to claim the big prize.

It was the fifth major Michigan Lottery draw game prize to go unclaimed in 2014, adding about $957,000 to the state School Aid Fund. The other unclaimed prizes were:

  • $138,727 Fantasy 5 prize. The winning ticket expired on March 10. It was bought in Southfield at the Smokers Depot and Convenience Store, 27214 West 8 Mile Road.
  • $250,000 Mega Million prize. The winning ticket expired on March 31. It was bought at the South End Market, 1701 Saginaw Street, in Flint.
  • $250,000 Mega Millions prize. The winning ticket expired on April 14. It was bought in Southfield, at the 8 Mile Foodland, 18880 8 Mile Road.
  • $100,000 Fantasy 5 prize. The winning ticket expired on May 8. It was bought in Novi, at the 7-Eleven located at 24111 Meadowbrook Road.

Another major Michigan Lottery draw game prize that must be claimed this year or that prize also will go to the state School Aid Fund. It is a $100,000 Club Keno “To Go” prize. The 10-spot – Match 10 ticket is for draw #1033208, which took place at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2013. The ticket was purchased in Livonia at the True Petro Services Inc., 27417 5 Mile Road.

Club Keno “To Go” tickets are valid for one year from the draw date.
