Tuesday’s jackpot of $586 million is this second largest jackpot in Mega Millions history!
The winner could decide to take the money in a one-time payment and would receive $316.5 million! Or, the jackpot can be paid out as an annuity for 30 years, where the player would receive about $8.8 million as an initial payment, which would increase about five percent each year to a final payment of approximately $36.3 million.
The Mega Millions drawing will take place on Tuesday, December 17 at 11:00 p.m. Tickets are $1 each and must be purchased by 10:45 p.m. to be eligible for that night’s drawing.
Two lucky Michigan Lottery players matched the first five numbers in Friday night’s drawing and are now Mega Millions millionaires! Those tickets were sold by the Eastside Petro & M/Mart on 26220 Harper Ave. in Saint Clair Shores and Grapes & Hopes Market Inc., on 4177 Cass Elizabeth Rd. in Waterford.
