Monroe man claims $100,000 Club Keno prize!
LANSING, September 13, 2011 – Jon Boudrie from Monroe was the lucky winner of $100,000 after playing Club Keno at a local bar.
As a Lottery player of about seven years, the Monroe man was shocked to learn he had won such a big prize without playing The Kicker. Boudrie matched 10 of 10 numbers to win the large prize.
Boudrie is self-employed and says he cannot wait to take his three children to Disney World for Christmas.
The winning easy-pick ticket was purchased at Don Larsons Bar, 713 Stone St. in Monroe.
Over 94 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2010, the contribution to schools was $701.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
