LANSING, March 7, 2011 – Charles Alexander was the lucky winner of a big Club Keno prize after he matched all seven numbers on The Jack, an add-on game to Club Keno, and two numbers on a 4-spot game in three separate draws to win the $14,368 prize!
The 25-year old Harper Woods man is a relative newcomer to the Lottery’s Club Keno game; he just started playing last year. Alexander was shocked and a little shaky after the retailer scanned his ticket and he realized it was a big winner.
The lucky man plans to play off debt and have a little fun with the money.
The winning ticket was purchased at Fishbone Rhythm Kitchen Cafe, 23722 East Jefferson, in St. Clair Shores.
Over 94 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2010, the contribution to schools was $701.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
