LANSING, November 23, 2010 – A lucky winner claimed a $2.5 million Lucky Lines prize today at Lottery Central!
This is the largest Lucky Lines prize the Michigan Lottery has given out to date.
The anonymous winner bet $5 on seven of her own-pick numbers. All seven came out in a vertical row, resulting in the biggest Lucky Lines winner ever!
The winning Lucky Lines ticket was sold at the Gabe’s Party Shop, 3843 Elizabeth Lake Rd., in Waterford.
Over 94 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2010, the contribution to schools was $701.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
