LANSING, September 14, 2010 – A large Fantasy 5 prize is set to expire at the end of the week if the lucky winner doesn’t come forward soon!

A winning Fantasy 5 ticket worth $202,146 from September 17, 2009 will expire on Friday.

This is the third large Lottery prize in a month that has faced expiration. A Fantasy 5 prize worth $238,407 went unclaimed and expired on Monday, August 16 and a Mega Millions prize worth $250,000 went unclaimed and expired on Monday, August 30.

The winning Fantasy 5 ticket was purchased at Metro Foods Inc. in Detroit.  The winning numbers, drawn on September 17, 2009, were 02-06-10-32-35. The winner must match all five numbers to win the $202,146 prize.

The winner must contact the Lottery’s Public Relations Division at (517)373-1237 to make arrangements to claim the prize by 4 p.m. Friday.

All Fantasy 5 prizes are valid for one year of the draw date. If the prize goes unclaimed, the money will be deposited into the state School Aid Fund.

Over 94 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2009, the contribution to schools was $724.5 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
