LANSING, August 23, 2010 – With football season right around the corner, the Michigan Lottery is getting in on the gridiron action with the Detroit Lions Pull Tab.
On sale August 23, the ticket arrives just in time for the Detroit Lions first home game at Ford Field on September 28! In addition to fun of pull tab play and big cash prizes, players could also win a Detroit Lions autographed football!
The Football Fever Second Chance Contest will award five lucky Pull Tab players an authentic NFL football autographed by the Detroit Lions player of their choice. To enter the second-chance contest, players must mail five (5) non-winning Detroit Lions™ Pull Tabs with an entry form or a piece of paper that includes their name, address, and phone number to Football Fever Second Chance Contest, P.O. Box 40785, Lansing 488901-7985. Entry forms are available wherever Pull Tabs are sold.
Five drawings will be conducted between September 2010 and January 2011 to award the autographed footballs.
Over 94 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2009, the contribution to schools was $724.5 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
