LANSING, August 13, 2010 – Robert Shroyer is on a hot streak.
The lucky Mason man is $32,210 richer after playing The Jack, an add-on game to Club Keno. The large prize is the most Shroyer has ever won since he started playing the Lottery back in the 1970s.
Last weekend, Shroyer hit a hole in one in golf and explained his recent good fortune. “After my hole in one, I was feeling lucky, so I played the Lottery, and won! This weekend I’m going to the casino!”
The winning easy-pick ticket was purchased at Coachs Pub & Grill, 6201 Bishop Rd., in Lansing.
Over 94 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2009, the contribution to schools was $724.5 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
