POWERBALL Power Play 10X promotion is here!

LANSING, April 28, 2010 – During the month of May, Michigan Lottery players could see their POWERBALL non-jackpot winnings multiplied 10 times, up to $2,000,000!

The Power Play feature in POWERBALL normally allows players the chance to multiply their non-jackpot winnings 2, 3, 4, or 5 times but starting with the drawing on May 1, a 10X multiplier will be added. The cost of the Power Play option stays the same, an addition $1 for each POWERBALL wager. The special limited offer will run through the month of May, giving players nine opportunities to multiply their winnings by 10.

Michigan Lottery players can purchase POWERBALL tickets at any of the nearly 11,000 retailers across the state.

Following the Wednesday and Saturday drawings, POWERBALL winning numbers are posted on the Lottery’s Web site, https://www.michiganlottery.com/. Players can also view the drawings on broadcast stations across the state : Lansing (WLAJ-TV), Marquette/Escanaba (WJMN-TV) on tape delay, and Muskegon (WMXG-TV).

Over 98.5 cents of every dollar spent on Michigan Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2009, the contribution to schools was $724.5 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
